Spider-Man gets framed for killing a bunch of criminals. Dare-Devil decides to help him clear his name. Speedball nearly gets mugged but he sees two figures in Purifier Armor come in and kill(?) the would be muggers. The Kingpin wants information on these armored individuals, who he thinks are out to stop the drug traffic.

Spider-Man is cleared, and a final battle between Spider-Man, Dare-Devil and six Purifiers takes place. The heroes win (of course). Speedball, who is outside, locates a transmitter that was poised to cover the entire NYC area with a sterilizing field, and trashes it.

All the heroes are introduced.

Notes:
The armor looks cool, and against a normal human, is more than adequate to do the job. An oversight on the Evolutionary's part would seem to be the power levels of the suit (NYC, super hero capital of the world!)  The beam weapons used by the armor seem to be able to sterilize a target or kill them.

All about Speedball.

Story 3: (The High Evolutionary, Chapter 6, Kindred Spirits)
When:  March 1932
Shows the creation of Bova. Wyndham's partner, Jonathan Drew, who had left earlier returns. Drew's body is being used by a sorcerer named Magnus, who had been a disciple of Morgan Le Fay. He warned Wyndham of Chthon's spirit being bound to Mt. Wondagore.

Wyndham, being a man of science, scoffs.
