Reed and Ben are returned, as well as Johnny and Gorr. They start attacking Galactus. Sue arrives with a planet that is willing, down to it's last being, to die so that Counter Earth may live. Since this fulfilled the original bargain, Galactus departs for it. The Evolutionary returns. They all return to his command asteroid and they watch as Galactus devours the life force of the sacrificial planet.

Something goes wrong though, as they witness Galactus suffer terrible pain and become immobile. It is apparent to the onlookers that Galactus is dying. He would have too, had not the Evolutionary evolved Galactus beyond the point of needing a body.

All the mysteries were wrapped up when another Sue Richards arrives, and the first changes into the Impossible Man. The planet Galactus just destroyed was Poppup, leaving the Impossible Man the last of his race, which had a collective mind, so none of the Poppupians cared if they lived or died, so long as one of them did, they would live. The FF, with Impossible Man return to NYC. Ben was changed back into his old Thing form.

Notes:
Through the entire story arc, the reference to the population of Counter Earth was either 3 or 4 billion (pick a number guys).  Impossible Man fans, he doesn't have to stay green in his forms, apparently he just wants to.
