Rescue Mission(s)
Story:After a brief argument, Lady Vermin (a rat) arrives at the Haven and informs Lord Ram and Quicksilver where the Knights of Wondagore are being held. At that location a rat that has taken Vermin's place is being questioned, then Feral eats it.
Exodus informs the captors of the High Evolutionary's location and tells them to take their captives along to the Savage Land. During the transfer to the ship, the Knights battle themselves free, with the help of Lord Anon, who has been lurking outside. In the battle Avalanche is killed by Anon. They take the ship and head for the Savage Land.
Exodus' mutants are teleported to the transport that contains some of his Accolytes, also heading for the Savage Land. Quicksilver, with Sir Ram in his jet-stream arrive to an empty building, where Vermin is told by a local rat the destination of the Knights. At the Savage Land a battle ensues with some of the Evolutionary's creations, where Anon kills one after Quicksilver (who had arrived in a Quinjet) helps him out.
The Accolytes arrive in time to see the ground give way beneath the Knights and Quicksilver. They land in the underground laboratory of the Evolutionary, who now has the head of an ape.
Notes:
This story held a few interesting points. Peitro seems to be visited by a
figment of his imagination, and Lord Anon is starting to open up with his Kill
or be killed attitude.
