Asgard is drifting farther away from the dimension of Earth, about to pass beyond the range of the enchantments on Mjolnir. Thor, Hercules and Eric leave Wondagore on two atomic steeds, and Wondagore launches itself into space, heading toward the Black Galaxy to study the life forms developing there.

The steeds are blown out of the sky by Mongoose in a stolen asteroid blaster from Wondagore. The machine is destroyed easily and the fight is now one-on-one, with Mongoose getting the better of the deal. Thor is separated from his hammer and Eric is thrown near it. Eric picks up the hammer(!) and is about to hit Mongoose with it when Mongoose shoots him with a drilling laser, also from Wondagore. Hercules returns and Mongoose flees.

Thor requests aid from Odin to save Eric's life. Eric's life-force, and that of Thor's are merged. Thor and Odin both believe that they will never see each other again.

Notes:
I've always liked the Thor title. I've also come to enjoy the High Evolutionary appearances. Something I've noticed is that nearly everything that is big and bad and expensive looking can usually be destroyed with one hit.

Story #2 (Tales of Asgard, There Dwells a Monster!)
Rock Trolls have been raiding the surface of Asgard and Thor has come to put a stop to it. The reason for the Trollish raids is because of a monster far below, forcing the trolls ever closer to the surface. The monster is Uroc, and his entire being is Uru metal.

I hate these things!  Just long enough to get you interested, just short enough to leave you hanging.  Great sales ploy though.
