New Gods for Old
Story:In the previous issue Thor stopped a battle between Loga, Blitziana, Luminore (of the Godlings) against Simbus, Tantro, and Urson-Wellz of the new New-Men. The High Evolutionary told Thor not to interfere. Thor wouldn't have anything to do with that, so a fight ensues between Thor and Evolutionary. Thor lost. (!)
He was taken to a Lab underneath New York that is shielded even from Asgard. When Thor recovers, he is told of the Evolutionary's return from the remains of the Black Galaxy, his causing a bus-load of convicts to crash, his creation of the new New-Men, and his desire to create something more, the Godlings.
After the conversation, Bellam emerges from the Bio-Pool in a berserk rage. The Godlings move to restrain him, but are kept at bay. Thor is able to immobilize Bellam until the rage passes. Thor is invited to join with the Evolutionary and his Godlings, which he accepts.
Meanwhile, Karnivore, formally the Man-Beast, recruits the three New Men.
Notes:
This story reinforces the fact that all of the New Men have left Earth. The
Godlings look to be a strong team. The Evolutionary unloads on Thor, and yet,
possibly, another threat of Ragnarok.
