Known Powers:
He has two abilities based on Biophysical Control:
  • Decay: Am (50). This power is always on and can be modified from a touch based attack which would do the most damage OR as a ranged attack. For each rank of range (Column A) the damage is reduced by one column. The maximum range that will cause damage is 20 areas (for 1 point) The visual effect of this power is either a black aura around the area of contact if touched or a black beam between Harit and his target.

Any damage done to others by this ability heals any damage and endurance loss that he has suffered until he gets to his maximum health. Limbs and organs can be re-grown through this effect, as well as the aspects of aging, oxygen deprivation, starvation/dehydration and temperature extremes. He can still be killed by almost all of the normal means.
  • Regeneration field: Rm (29) – If more health points are absorbed than his body can use, it generates a field around him (his immediate area) that speeds up the normal healing rates of everything within that field. Since regeneration is slow and decay is quick, anyone who dares even the simplest of touches can have the most dire effect. People heal at 29x their normal rate and can re-grow limbs and organs. This field does not affect diseases. This field has a green tint to it that varies in intensity based upon the total healing potential of the field.

He can sacrifice his own health, point-for-point, to this field if no external sources are available, but he cannot benefit directly from the field. It's quite possible that he could be dead and the field have health to give. In this case, the field would be centered around the largest portion of his remains.

Plague Carrier: Ex (26) - He can add, or remove, diseases for a target. Fortunately he can do this while wearing gloves so the process of curing diseases is not fatal. Any disease that he has cured others of or has been exposed to himself, he can create in others, though all diseases have been mutated into being non-contagious.
Linguistics: Ex (16). He can pick up languages quickly.
Immunity to Heat/Fire: Being, in actuality, a lesser demon, Harit is not affected by fire or excessive heat.

Talents:
Weapons Master: He has trained in methods of combat where skin on skin contact is kept to a minimum. In his particular case, that training took the form of various and sundry low-tech melee weapons.
Occult Lore (Demonologist): If he regains his memory (and maintains his protective ways) he will have an in-depth knowledge of the myriad minor and lesser demons. He will also have knowledge of a few grater demons but nothing of any but the lowest of devils.
Contacts:
Unspecified Buddhist monastery on a remote area of north-east California. (Near Canby Cross)
Role-Playing Notes:
This world is COLD. On days that are even 100 degrees (Fahrenheit) he wears long sleeves, if not a windbreaker. 80 degrees sees him wanting a heavy jacket.
History:
Harit was found as an apparently young man, by Buddhist monks near Canby Cross, California. He had no knowledge of who he was or how he got there, but he was severely beaten and his skin had a slight red tint to it, like a sunburn. The monks gave him food and shelter even though the merest physical contact proved extremely hazardous. When the monks took him in, they named him Hinju (guest).

Hinju was good to be around. The monks were healthier than they had been for some time and he was willing to learn. At first he was randomly consumed with rage and loathing, at these times, black beams would lash out at those in range. Through meditation he was able to reduce the occurrences of these attacks, which look almost like a seizure, to only a couple per year.

As he became more in tuned with himself, he found the correlation between his murderous abilities and his healing abilities. At first he was unnerved by his bi-polar abilities, but he gained a balanced perspective, again with the assistance of the monks. At this time he was also beginning to learn the arts of personal defense, though training was kept to weapons use, for it would be folly to spar, unarmed, with a man who's merest touch could cause death.

When Hinju decided to devote his life as a protector, the Monks provided him with his current name. In Buddhist legend, Hariti had been a cannibal devourer of children until she was converted by Buddha, at which time she became the protectress of children.

The time before Harit's original appearance, he was was a lesser-demon that was exiled for his uncontrollable regeneration field. He fought the decision, but was overwhelmed. His memory was forcefully removed/blocked/suppressed/whatever.
