Notes:
The Tyrant is the field commander of an army of Tyranids.  It takes it's direction from the Queen, who is safely on her planet in a very distant galaxy.  There might be more than one Tyrant in a force of Tyranids, but that would be an extremely large force of creatures.
History:
Tyranids are creatures of the highest of genetic order.  They are constantly looking for new worlds to conquer so they can replenish their fleet, and bring in new genetic material for assimilation into the Tyranid physiology.  All Tyranid creatures are designed to fulfill a given role.
Role:
The Tyrant's role is to command the Tyranid swarm.
