Base of Operations: Bilskirnir and Valhalla, Asgard
Known Powers:
Permanent Growth: Fb. Thrud stands 6 feet 10.5 inches tall and weighs nearly 210 pounds.
Invulnerabilities: As an Asgardian, Thrud's dense skin provides Typical protection against all forms of physical and energy damage. Her resistance to cold is considered Excellent.
Invisibility: Un. As a Valkyrie, Thrud is only visible to mortals when she wants to be, or to any dieing being. While invisible, she is also intangible. These two things combined also make her undetectable by any physical, including mechanical, means. (Note: A dieing being can not only see her, but touch her as well. This could be due to that being actually crossing from the living.)
Death Sense: All Valkyries (Including Dani Moonstar, aka Mirage II) have the Unearthly ability to detect the aura of imminent death. Judges should secretly roll once before the game to determine if a “deathglow” was seen. If the first roll comes up positive, a victim should be chosen at random from the characters in the game. The selected victim is unable to spend Karma on Endurance FEATs during that game.
Armor: Thrud's armor, when she goes to an honorably dieing being gives off a pearly, flickering light (reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis). It provides it's wearer with Excellent protection from all forms of physical and magical damage.
Needless: Thrud was given the ancient sword that was used by Sigmund and Seigfried. This Unearthly material strength weapon has been enchanted by Odin to cause a minimum of Monstrous edged damage or Amazing blunt damage with the flat of the blade.

Talents:
Weapon Specialist - Swords; Horses; Languages - Thrud knows the language of any follower of Asatru (Including Swedish, Norwegian, English, Russian and others) though she has a pronounced Scandinavian accent.
Contacts:
All Asgardian Gods, Some giants, due to the connection with Thor, scattered about the nine plains. Warriors of Valhalla. Other Valkyries. Any honorably dieing being (Due to one of Odin's agreement, she can only come to the aid of the followers of Asatru)
Role-Playing Notes:
Thrud will have a hard time blending in on Earth due to her size.

If followers of Asatru makes the connection that she is actually a member of the Norse pantheon, they may not be discrete with that knowledge. This could cause some problems for her on Earth, but it could cause more problems for the master of Bilskirnir (namely Thor)

History:
Thrud is the daughter of the Norse gods Thor and Sif, she is also a Valkyrie. Her name means Strength, which is sort of a misnomer, since she is not as strong as even an average Asgardian.

She make up for this by being a very skilled and valiant warrior in her own right. Unlike the other Valkyries, she joins in the daily battles of the warriors of Valhalla during the day, as well as serves them meade at night (which is a duty of a Valkyrie)

Her destiny has not been defined by the Norns, as such, the Eddas provide only a glimpse into who she is. Unlike many others of the Norse pantheon, she does not even know if she will survive to fight during Ragnarok. (Given the fact that she is the only participant in her daily battles with the Valhalla warriors, it is entirely possible that she will not be able to fight)

Recently it has come to Odin's attention that a new 'Age of Heroes' approaches on Midgard and has asked his son, Thor, to go to Earth and make sure that events there do not hasten the arrival of Ragnarok. (Since the coming of Ragnarok has been foretold, but not the time that it arrives, Ragnarok could start tomorrow or millions of years in the future.)

Thor believes that he is bound by the Oath that Odin swore nearly a thousand years ago to not attempt to gain followers on Earth for a duration of no less than two-thousand years. As such, it could possible break that Oath. Odin agreed, so gave the task to Thor's hall, Bilskirnir.

Thor's children had not been sworn to Odin at the time of the Oath, or most of his servants for that matter.

Thor gave the task to Thrud, and gave to her the sword named Needless, used by two of Scandinavia's greatest heroes during the last 'Age of Heroes'.

Thor's messenger, Thialfi, will be in a village on Earth near the hidden base of Bifrost, for her to send information back to Asgard, and to receive news.

Additional Notes:
Asgardians age normally. Any effects of aging are negated however by the consumption of a Golden Apple from Asgard that are protected by the Goddess Idun. Upon the consumption of one of these fruits, the eater returns to the age that they first ate one of these apples. (Early twenties for Thrud).

An apple has no visible effect, the first time one is eaten.

Most of the information in the history above has been fabricated. She is the daughter of Thor and Sif. She may be a Valkyrie. Her name means Strong. That's all that I have picked up from the Eddas and Sagas so far. Then again, I'm still looking.

I have provided many ties into current Marvel continuity: Needless comes from Sigmund and Seigfried: Victory's stats come from Mirage II's horse Brightwind. The text for the power Death Sense also came from Mirage II. (Mirage had been accepted and indoctrinated into the Valkyries, but I'm saying that she wasn't given all of the capabilities, and Brightwind was actually a rejected mount)

She does not know that Magni is also on Earth.
