This weapon fires a one ounce projectile and is normally operated by a heavy weapon squad in combat units. The weapon weighs in at 31 pounds while the external battery packs weigh 27 pounds and a full container of ammunition (and feed chains) weigh 30 pounds. Each external battery pack, fully charged, is good for 60 rounds. The ammo container is a refillable bin that can hold up to 400 rounds. External battery packs, as well as the battery charger, and a container of ammunition have a Remarkable cost. The batteries are good for 100 charges before the start to degrade, and can be fully charged within 5 minutes. The weapon can also be mounted on an arm of a suit of TaCS armor. When fired from a suit of TaCS armor, neither the armor's Breakers, not the Slider Fields are operational. Energy would be drawn from the armor, and the ammunition bin would be mounted to the underside or the arm. |
