This weapon fires a high intensity laser beam and is normally operated by a heavy weapon squad in combat units. The beam fires for a total of one second. The weapon, as well as the external battery packs weigh 27 pounds. Each external battery pack, fully charged is good for five minutes of heavy use. External battery packs, as well as the battery charger, and extra laser tubes have a Remarkable cost. The batteries are good for 100 charges before the start to degrade, and can be fully charged within 5 minutes. The laser tubes are good for 5 hours of lase-time. The weapon can also be mounted on an arm of a suit of TaCS armor. When fired from a suit of TaCS armor, neither of the armor's Breakers will work. The required energy for the weapon is drawn from the armor. |
