Miscellaneous Equipment:
Power Generator (x2): These devices provide power for the various systems aboard the Kestrel. During normal operations, only one generator is on at a time, the second is brought up to provide power for the High-Flow Ionic engines.
Engines (x2): The Kestrels engines have two distinct modes to them. In a normal, oxygen rich, atmosphere, the engines are high performance Jets, that can propel the ship at full thrust to Mach 2.25 (1,685 mph) but is optimized for cruising at around 600 mph. The other mode provides only Excellent thrust, but can, over time, propel the Kestrel to nearly .8c in a vacuum (833 million mph or 148 thousand miles per second). If a door is open while the engines in Jet mode, the engine on the side with the opened door is shut down, to keep people from being sucked through it.

One of the standard features of all Matsuya Custom Vehicles used by X-Force is the honeycombed armor and frame material. This provides these vehicles with a positive buoyancy above 200 feet under water, even if flooded. The design of the armor is such that is does not weaken the protective capacity of it. (This includes the little bits and pieces that the craft would be reduced to if it didn't survive the crash into the water)
Notes:
The Kestrel is depicted with a streamlined dorsal turret, A forward firing X-Ray laser on each engine and a weapon port on the port side of the craft.
