This image was initially
created with the Beta version of HeroMachine2. I used Photoshop to tweak the
colors and fiddle around with the transparency values of several bits and
pieces. Initially, it was just going to be the skeleton with the old-fashioned
aviators cap and the wings.
I envision the old man (who is floating in the foreground, is actually
animating the skeleton in the background. The powers that the skeleton is
displaying is actually another manifestation of the living man's abilities.

These images are manipulations of an original brass sculpture. (I'll
provide the URL when I locate it again.)
Personally, I like the top one, but the second got some rave reviews as well, Oh well. In case you haven't figured it out, she's a faerie, note the spelling. This tiny little thing would consider the natural world as her responsibility. I don't know what she would be able to do to people that tick her off, but, being part of the natural world, she would be harder to get rid of than one would expect.

OK,
what can I say about little miss attitude over here. Nothing much, except for,
'Nice pet.' (And you wonder why she has an attitude.)
She doesn't have that, 'I'm nice but if you piss me off I would have no problems with snapping your neck' look, like the Faerie above. She looks more like a slightly ticked off mother. Then again, she also doesn't look like she would hesitate too long to say, 'Go my pet, teach them a painful lesson.'
